This illustration was inspired by the landscape surrounding the town I grew up in. Oast Houses are a feature in the Kent countryside and pretty much unique to the hop growing/ale making region - I didn’t live in one but for years I wished I did! The colours are also very much lifted from childhood memories and a 1970s palette.
